How long service leave works

Long service leave is set by each state and territory's own law, not the National Employment Standards, so it depends on where you work. It is based on continuous service with one employer and is paid at your ordinary pay. Some industries have portable schemes, and some awards or agreements give a different entitlement. For other leave, see the annual leave calculator.
